Welcome to One Step Removals! These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the services we provide. By booking a service with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined here. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services. These Terms and Conditions apply to all customers, regardless of whether you are a residential or commercial client.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging One Step Removals and/or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms govern all aspects of our relationship, including booking, payments, cancellation, liability, insurance, and disputes.
2. Our Services
One Step Removals offers a comprehensive range of moving services designed to meet both residential and commercial needs. The following services are available:
Residential Removals: Moving personal belongings, furniture, and household items from one property to another.
Commercial/Office Removals: Complete office relocation, including furniture, office equipment, documents, and sensitive materials.
Packing and Unpacking: Full packing and unpacking services using professional-grade materials to ensure the safe transport of your belongings.
Storage Solutions: Secure short-term or long-term storage options for your items.
Specialty Item Removals: Moving delicate or valuable items such as pianos, antiques, artwork, or fragile electronics.

3. Booking and Payment
Booking Process: All services must be booked in advance, either through our website or by contacting One Step Removals’ customer service team. A confirmation email will be sent once your booking is secured.
Payment:
A deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your scheduled date.
Full payment is due on the day of service completion unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept payments via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash.
Additional Costs: One Step Removals reserves the right to charge additional fees for services such as last-minute bookings, extra hours, or special requests. These charges will be clearly outlined before your booking is confirmed.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify One Step Removals at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move will incur a cancellation fee of [percentage or flat fee] of the total service cost.
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your move up to 24 hours before the scheduled date, subject to availability. If rescheduling is requested within 24 hours of the scheduled move, an additional fee may apply.
5. Liability, Insurance, and Coverage
At One Step Removals, we prioritize the safety of your belongings, but it is essential to understand the coverage provided under our services.
Basic Coverage: One Step Removals provides basic coverage for goods in transit, up to a value of £50,000. This covers the loss or damage of items during transport under the care of our staff. However, please note that this basic coverage does not extend to fragile items that are not packed by our staff or improperly packed.
Public Liability Insurance: We carry Public Liability Insurance up to £5,000,000. This policy covers third-party injury or property damage caused by our actions during the moving process.
Additional Insurance Options: For peace of mind, we offer additional insurance options:
Full Value Protection: This insures the total replacement value of your items in the event of damage or loss.
Released Value Protection: This option offers a limited level of protection, generally based on the weight of the items being moved.
High-Value Items: We strongly recommend that you take out additional insurance for items of high value, such as:
Electronics (e.g., televisions, computers, etc.)
Jewelry, antiques, and artwork
Musical instruments (e.g., pianos, guitars)
If you have any high-value items, please inform us in advance to discuss your insurance options.
Exclusions: The following items are excluded from coverage under any of our policies:
Improperly packed items
Dangerous, flammable, or hazardous materials
Perishable goods or food items
Pets or animals
Please ensure that high-value or fragile items are packed securely or insured separately.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a successful move, customers are responsible for the following:
Accurate Information: Provide accurate details about the items to be moved. This ensures we bring the appropriate equipment and staff to your job.
Packing: You are responsible for packing any items that are not being packed by our team. One Step Removals is not liable for damages to items that were improperly packed by the customer or any third party.
Access: Ensure that the moving path is clear and accessible. If our team encounters access issues (such as narrow hallways or blocked paths), we may refuse to proceed with the move or charge an additional fee.
Fragile and Valuable Items: Please inform us of any fragile or high-value items prior to the move. We recommend that customers take out additional insurance for these items.
7. Damage or Loss Claims
In the unfortunate event of damage or loss of items during the move, the customer must notify One Step Removals within 24 hours of the move’s completion. Claims made after this period may not be eligible for reimbursement or compensation.
One Step Removals will conduct an investigation of any reported damage or loss. If it is found that the damage or loss occurred while under our responsibility, compensation will be offered based on the terms of your coverage.
8. Prohibited Items
For safety and legal reasons, One Step Removals cannot transport the following items:
Flammable or explosive materials
Hazardous chemicals or substances
Perishable goods or food
Pets or animals
Illegal items or substances
If any of these items are found in your shipment, One Step Removals reserves the right to refuse to transport them. Customers will be responsible for arranging alternative transportation for prohibited items.
9. Force Majeure
One Step Removals will not be liable for any delays, cancellations, or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters (e.g., floods, earthquakes)
Severe weather conditions (e.g., snowstorms, hurricanes)
Civil unrest, strikes, or government restrictions
Accidents or unexpected transport delays
In the event of force majeure, One Step Removals will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the move or offer an alternative solution.
10. Indemnity
By using the services of One Step Removals, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless One Step Removals, its employees, agents, and contractors from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with the following:
Your breach of these Terms and Conditions
Any damage or loss caused by your actions or failure to comply with our instructions
Any claims from third parties related to the services we provide
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute or claim arising from the services provided by One Step Removals, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter. If we are unable to resolve the issue amicably, we will seek resolution through alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration, before resorting to litigation.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
